About VibemapBot

Vibemap is a local discovery platform: we help people find places and events by vibe, city, and interest. VibemapBot is the automated crawler that keeps our place and event listings current.

User-Agent: VibemapBot/1.0 (+https://vibemap.com/about/our-bot)

What it does

VibemapBot visits publicly published pages — venue websites, city and tourism-board calendars, and event listing pages — to read business information (name, address, hours) and public event details (dates, times, descriptions, images) that those pages already publish for public consumption.

What it doesn't do

• Doesn't access anything behind a login, paywall, or CAPTCHA.
• Doesn't collect personal data about site visitors.
• Doesn't spoof a browser or another crawler's identity.

How it behaves

• Identifies itself honestly via the User-Agent above on every request.
• Respects robots.txt.
• Rate-limits requests per site; not a high-volume crawler.
• Crawls from a small, stable set of IPs.

Questions or exclusion requests

If you run a site VibemapBot visits and want to ask a question, verify this is really us, or request exclusion, contact bot@vibemap.com.

Verification

VibemapBot signs its requests using Web Bot Auth. Our public key directory is published at https://vibemap.com/.well-known/http-message-signature-directory.
