Redwoods, fresh air and serenity abound at Oakland's Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park
Got a little tread on your tennis shoes? Your bike tires? Great, let’s take a spin through this urban oasis in the Oakland hills and say hi to every skinny lizard, golden eagle or happy hiker we meet. Along the trails, evergreens elbow under the canopy for sunlight.
But a half-mile in there’s a gorgeous grove of mighty coast redwoods clustered like elders in an outdoor cathedral. Ferns pray on the ground beneath them. You’ll feel bursting into a gospel song about these giants. But keep it moving, there are 40 magical miles of park trails to experience.
Vibemap Tip: Dogs must be on a leash the whole time at Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park! Park cops will tell you.
