Guadalajara’s city center neighborhood is a great zone to explore the cultural and historical roots of the city. Check out the museums, like “Hospicio Cabañas”, then go on a walk and you’ll come across numerous monuments like “Inmolación de Quetzalcóatl”,  Guadalajara’s Cathedral and “Plaza Liberación”. If you’re lucky enough you may run into an artisan vending corridor where they sell handmade jewelry, accessories, and souvenirs from local artisans hands or you can check out “Mercado de San Juan de Dios” where you can find traditional Mexican candy, beverages, food, and souvenirs.
