Annie's Art and Frame
In the heart of Ballard, Annie’s Art & Frame has been family owned and operated for over 20 years, consistantly providing quality custom framing, artist prints, and unique gifts for the greater Seattle community.
Independently owned and uniquely Ballard since 1990. Like the dynamic neighborhood we call home, Annie’s Art and Frame hasn’t stopped growing, changing, and evolving since day one. What started out as a frame and poster shop in 1990 has grown into something more akin to an interactive art gallery. We still frame posters, but now we’ve also got unique Seattle-made gifts, a letterpress studio, and we even do installations. We’re known for our service, and with a staff of artists and musicians, we can speak to the creativity and the craftsmanship that go into every item and every service we provide.

Glasswing
Glasswing is a Seattle design shop, specializing in clothing, plants, and home goods. Our first location, 1525 Melrose Avenue, sits at the center of a small but impactful marketplace including a farm to table restaurant, artisan butcher shop, and a natural wine bar. We wanted to create a retail space that appropriately represents Seattle, while also providing an engaging environment to be introduced to new products and the designers creating them.
We use our space as a backdrop to host a variety of events and workshops, bringing people together and building community one day at a time. Our workshop program is always hands-on with topics ranging from plant design, like Kokedamas – the Japanese art of moss ball planting – to Natural Dyeing Classes that utilize food waste to create rich hues. As of December 2018, we opened our second retail project the Glasswing Greenhouse. Located a block away on East Olive at Melrose, the Greenhouse is our plant and floral design shop, expanding on the exisiting plant program at Glasswing. We’re minutes from downtown, on the periphery of Capitol Hill’s shopping district and hope that you’ll spend some time with us the next time you’re in the neighborhood.
