Vibemap is on a mission to bring people together in real life. Here’s how we helped one business improvement district increase footfall and excitement in Oakland, California.

We regularly team up with great partners to deliver digital and in-real-life marketing solutions. We partnered with the Jack London Business Improvement District to support local businesses in the wake of a challenging pandemic year.

Called the Jack London Neighborhood Challenge, Vibemap incentivized in-person visits to 80+ special places in Jack London Square by gamifying a self-guided tour. Participants earned “Challenge Points” for checking out neighborhood eateries, bars, retail stores, public art and parks along this waterfront destination. They also unlocked special discounts via the Vibemap app while qualifying for top prizes such as hotel stays.

Results: Connecting people to great city experiences based on vibes.

We measured the impact of the Challenge, taking into account in-app actions on the Vibemap app, engagement with paid digital ads, visits to a dedicated Jack London Neighborhood Challenge webpage on Vibemap.com, social media impressions and on-the-ground feedback from our Jack London partners. Our data show that Vibemap's approach successfully increased foot traffic to Jack London Square and encouraged people to explore the district’s vibe.

Let's build together,

The Vibemap Team
