In fact, if you're live in the Bay Area or visiting, there's probably a good trail just outside your door. Neighborhoods and towns in the valleys of the Mission in San Francisco, hills of the East Bay, and towns connecting the North and South Bay.
Not only are these hikes near by with astounding views, they feature an amazing diversity of terrain, including beaches with coastal bluffs, Redwood grooves, wetlands, mountains, waterfalls, and much more. Most of these hikes are a fairly easy and 2 to 3 miles long, and some are even shorter and can be completed in 1 hour or so.
