Bosque los Colomos is a refreshment for your brain! There’s such gorgeous scenery here. And, as Guadalajara’s favorite park, there’s lots of people here enjoying a mental escape from the city. They come for the fountains along the jogging path. The Japanese garden to chant “om” in. The horses for riding. And to see the springs that supply the city with water.
A 92-acre green space with rustic trails and trees, this is Guadalajara’s “Central Park.” Meaning anytime you go you have to tell another visitor, “Los Colomos are the lungs of this city.”
After ⎸Reward yourself with handmade tamales from Xokol Molino & Tortillería. They’re made from pure, pre-Hispanic corn varieties that date back thousands of years.
